Recently launched, the PickPocket Forager Pouch and Beanbags is a new addition to the Pickpocket Foragers family

PickPocket Foragers are fully washable/tumble dryable fleece feeders in which dogs hunt for treats inside pockets. They are simple to use, easy to launder and bring all the benefits offoraging into your dog’s home. Each PickPocket bean bag forager consists of a large pouch containing organic buckwheat-filled bean bags for your dog rummage through to find treats. The bean bags move and change shape as your dog searches through the pouch, creating a dynamic foraging environment.

Sizes

Medium 40cm x 40cm pouches with 12 buckwheat-filled bean bags
Large 50cm x 50cm pouches with 18 buckwheat-filled bean bags

Each bean bag contains buckwheat husks, which are organic, non-toxic and naturally hypoallergenic, and the husks are safely enclosed in an inner bag within a fleece cover.

Bean bag foragers are suitable for all ages and all breeds and can be successfully used by brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs. They are ideal mental stimulation for dogs on post-operative care, on restricted exercise or for those with reduced mobility due to arthritic conditions. Playing with the bean bag forager can provide these dogs with a few minutes gentle weight-bearing exercise.

Foraging games are especially beneficial to senior dogs with cognitive dysfunction and ‘golden oldies’ whose other senses may be in decline and who come to rely more on olfaction. The bean bag forager is especially suited to visually impaired dogs, senior dogs and puppie sas the skill level required is easy yet the game is highly rewarding, satisfying and safe.

Warning! Some owners are concerned that their dog will chew the fleece, however most dogs find foraging so immensely rewarding that this instinct usually overrides their desire to bite the fabric. Please ALWAYS supervise your dog and follow the instructions for use on the packaging to minimise risk. No dog should be left alone with any of the PickPocket Forager range as ingesting fabric could lead to serious medical issues. If you have any concerns or suspect your dog has swallowed some fabric, please consult your veterinary surgeon immediately
