Description

Our Picnic Bag is essentially a bag with a large opening designed to be used with our caterpillar and foraging pouches. Just like your picnic hamper, you can fill it with goodies - other foragers and treats - and let your dog rummage within the picnic bag. Because the foragers are contained within the picnic bag, the fleece twists and turns creating nooks and crannies for your dog to search through. The Picnic Bag sides can be rolled down to make a ‘donut’ for easy access or even a bed for a small dog!

PickPocket Picnic Bags are suitable for dogs of all ages and most breeds including those with flat faces. They are ideal mental stimulation for dogs on post-operative care, those on restricted exercise or for dogs with reduced mobility due to arthritic conditions. Playing with the Picnic Bag can provide these dogs with a few minutes gentle weight-bearing exercise. Foraging games are especially beneficial to senior dogs with cognitive dysfunction and ‘golden oldies’ whose other senses may be in decline and who come to rely more on olfaction. The Picnic Bag is especially suited to visually impaired dogs who are able to use their natural foraging skills in a game that is highly rewarding, satisfying and safe. Puppies can also hugely benefit mentally and physically from nosework activities, and PickPocket Foragers can be successfully used to distract from unwanted behaviour.

Care Instructions

Some owners are concerned that their dog will chew the fleece, however most dogs find foraging so immensely rewarding that this foraging instinct usually overrides their desire to bite the fabric. Please ALWAYS supervise your dog and follow the instructions for use on the packaging to minimise risk. No dog should be left alone with any of the PickPocket Forager range as ingesting fabric could lead to serious medical issues. If you have any concerns or suspect your dog has swallowed some fabric, please consult your veterinary surgeon immediately.

Washing Instructions

Wash at 40°C and tumble dry on cool.
